The most surprising part of creating my blog was the fact that I was creating a blog. I have never really been one to do this type of writing and never envisioned myself ever having a blog for any reason. When I think of blogs, I automatically picture people sitting on their computer and sharing their life stories with the world, which I know is not always the case. It is interesting to have a blog dedicated to a class though, because that is totally different than that image that I usually picture. One of the most difficult parts of creating the blog was trying to come up with a name for it. It is not that big of a deal, but it took me a little while to try and come up with one. I was going to attempt to be creative and name it something different, but I ended up just naming it Joan, which is probably the least creative name I could have chosen. I think blogs are a good way for people to express their thoughts and opinions on issues without the writing having to be very formal. They are a good way to get your thoughts out and share them with people. Sometimes, it seems like when people use blogs and Facebook, grammar and correct ways of writing go out the window. I don’t think that makes them a bad thing, but I think it is kind of scary how formal writing seems like it is disappearing from society. Overall, I think blogs are a good way to share information and express thoughts between different groups of people.
